My MFA thesis show "Objectscape" is an exploration of the intersection between globalization, material culture, and identity. As technology has evolved and globalization has permeated the planet, an increasingly complex web of people, objects, and information has grown. This era of virtually unlimited access has had the dual effect of obscuring and reassigning the histories of displaced objects and muddying our sense of identity due to the profound emotional and cultural weight objects can hold. My work is a personal observation this phenomenon and an expression of my experience contending with the barrage of material and visual culture we are confronted with every day.
